Can we compete as a team?

There is not necessarily a team division, but running as a team will help you overcome obstacles and be a lot more fun in the long run! If you wish to run as a team simply list the name(s) of the other participants in the NOTES field of the registration and we will make sure you run together. The best way to make sure this happens is to sign up together or at least ensure you sign up for the same run time! There are no price breaks for teams. Whatever the current registration costs are, multiplied by the number of runners in your team is the team price.

What is the registration cost?

  • Adult Registration is $55 through July 1st
  • July 1st it becomes $65
  • Race Day Registration is $75
  • Kids registration is $25 through July 1st
  • July 1st it becomes $30
  • Race Day Registration is $35

How long is the Mud Run?

Our run is a 5K run which is 3.1 miles. You are welcome to walk all or part, no one is going to yell at you for taking your time. We just want you to come out and do it!

I am thinking about dressing up in a costume...

DO it! Keep in mind you will get muddy and have to cross obstacles.

I am not in the best shape. Should I do this?

Its all about finishing… no one gets hung up on times. A majority of our participants are just here for fun!

Is it possible that I will get muddy?

What if I am scared of a specific obstacle?

You're expected to complete all obstacles. If you're unable to complete an obstacle you may bypass the obstacle however you would be ineligible for an award.

I cant swim, should I be here?

There is no water obstacle that requires any level of swim expertise to cross.

If I don’t want to register online what do I do?

Go to CrossFit868, 525 College Street, Milton and pay in person!

Can kids compete?

The Milton Mud Challenge is open to participants 15 years old and older. For participants under 18 years old on race day, your parent or guardian must be present during on race day at packet pick-up to sign a waiver and release for you. We will also have a kids muddy course designed JUST FOR KIDS! No advance registration is necessary.

Is the run safe?

As with all mud runs, there are risks. Our staff does everything we can to ensure your safety during the race. Last year we had ZERO incidents and we are doing everything we can to ensure the same this year. There will be paramedics and an ambulance on site in case of an emergency. You enter the Milton Mud Challenge at your own risk.

How about getting a refund?

Sorry, no refunds under any circumstances. You may change your event date/time or transfer your registration to another person by submitting a request on our Contact page.

Can I just wait and sign up the day of the race?

Absolutely, but keep in mind that we plan to sell out BEFORE August 16th so there may not be any open registration times. Also the price for registration goes up as the event date approaches. Do yourself a favor and register NOW!

Where do the proceeds of this event go?

This run is being presented by Milton Family Recreation, Inc. Milton Family Recreation is a WI non-profit company whose mission is to bring events like this to our community! The profits from the registrations of the Milton Mud Challenge will go directly to the WI chapter of the MS Society.
